1984 Suzuki GSX 1100 EF
1999 Suzuki GSX 1300 R Hayabusa

Owner: Scott Hollis, Cronulla,
Sydney, Australia

Comments: These are my two bikes. First of all, there's
a GSX1100EFE with 30,000 km on the clock and a 4-2-1 Lazer exhaust
pipe. It has great motor but she handles like a brik. I still
think it's a fun and grunty bike to ride.

There's also my new joy, the Busa. She's a '99, also with 30,000
km on it. It's a lotta fun to ride.

It's got a full 4-2-1 Yoshimura system and a Power Commander 3
box. The last dyno showed 168 hp. I have fitted a K&N filter
after this dyno. I'm very happy with the Busa. It scares the shit
outta me and always leaves a fithy big grin on my head. Great
bike.

2002 Suzuki GSX 1400 Dutch Bull

Owner: Willem de Ruyter,
Rotterdam, Holland

Comments: After the last pics I have done some extra things to my Bull.

I have polished the wheels and painted the centers blue.

New front brake disks from Wave. Works very well and good looking.

New mirrors from ABM in blue aluminum. Very nice.

I have also tuned my bike on the computer. I have now 120 bhp on the rear wheel, the torque is 140 Nm from 2,000 rpm to 7,000 rpm, that only with K&N filter. Laser 4-1 exhaust system and MAP 3 Yoshimura computer.

I have also mounted a Digi gear indicator.

The picture with two ladies working for Bridgestone tyres in the picture is from Belgium, at the Zolder track in Belgium, on a Suzuki Nederland show. It was a very nice bike weekend.

I like the Bull very much, he's great to ride and smooth with enormous low-rev torque. I have given the bike a look of my own, it's only one in Holland and that gives my a kick.

| The same bike with aftermarket rear shock absorbers, windshield and tankbag. The larger headlight comes from the Marauder. |

2005 Suzuki Boulevard S 40
Owner: Jon Ess, Seattle, Washington USA

Purchased: New in July 2004

Mileage: 1,300 miles

Modifications: It remained stock during the first 600 miles. Rear shocks on the LS650 models tend to be sprung for gorillas, so I fit Hagon aftermarket shocks with softer springs. The improvement is amazing, it's a touring bike now.

The stock headlight is adequate, but I fit the larger diameter Suzuki 'Marauder' headlight — it's a bolt-on swap. The windshield is a National Cycle 'StreetShield EX' which needed the 1-inch clamps reamed to fit the S40 risers. On the tank is a Marsee 20-liter magnetic tankbag.

All current motorcycles sold in the U.S. have to meet EPA mandates for low rpm emissions. The LS650 engine produces strong low rpm torque which does a good job of masking the slight off-idle EPA power sag. To make the bike run better, remove the thick plastic spacer on the slide needle and replace it with a washer of equal diameter. The washer is needed to maintain the effectiveness of the offset dimple on the needle retaining plate and (I assume) prevent needle flutter.

Comments: Having previously owned an 80's 4-speed and 90's 5-speed LS650 Savage, the new Boulevard S40 is a more pleasant everyday ride because of the vastly improved seat (wider and flatter) and better ergonomics with the new handlebars. It's almost a 'standard' now.
