1969 Suzuki K 15 P
1959 Colleda SB 125

Owner: Ian Holmes, North Wales, UK

Comments : In January I sent
pics of my K11P and mentioned that I had a K15P under restoration
and a rare 1959 SB125 Colleda... well please find attached pictures
of the finished articles!

The K15P is a 1969 model, resonably hard to get the bits for but
the SB was impossible, even had to mould new indicator lenses,
rear light lens, tank badges, Carb covers etc. Everything else
had to have a great deal of work to restore the components.

At the moment the only bikes that I restore are Suzuki 2-strokes.
This year the small collection was joined by the K15P and The
SB125. This means that I now have the following bikes restored:

1972 GT550
J

1969 K11P

1969 K15P

1967 K10P

1959 SB125

Still have 2 x K10 and 1 x TC120 engined B100P Trial bike to rebuild.

The K15P was purchased from a guy called Bruce Mangles who owns
the Virtual Junkyard in Arizona USA. I bought it to complete the
trio of 80cc posi-force machines produced at that time.

Since doing the first K10P I always had the vision of getting
the other two models and putting together a display stand showing
the models with period props. Hopefully this will be ready later
this year!

The K15P arrived by post in a rough state and the restoration
took three months from the bike arriving and its first show. My
pockets ended up £1200 lighter.

I don't think that many made it to the UK, maybe other owners
who have one can let me know.

I am currently trying to sort out road registration for it but
have used it in both low and high ratios. For those of you not
familier with this arrangement it involved a large and small sproket
on the back wheel and an extra length of chain in the tool kit.

The SB is another story. Always imagined restoring a very early
Suzuki or even an SJK. Also liked the idea of having at least
one bike for each decade.

Knowing how rare early Suzukis are I could not believe it when
I came across the SB for sale in Canada. A deal was struck and
I got it shipped.

Although mostly complete it still required the full rebuild and
as there is no chance of finding new parts for it everything had
to be restored or hand made from scratch. The rebuild took just
under 6 months.

I'm led to believe that it could be the oldest restored Suzuki
in Europe. Again I'm led to believe that it could be one of only
four known to be around anywhere? Although I have yet to have
this confirmed.

Anyway if its nothing else it rare.

As with the K15 I'm trying to sort out road registration for it
so as to get it out on the road.

2002 Suzuki VZ 800 Marauder

Owner: Glenn Myers, Coquitlam, B.C. (just outside of Vancouver),
Canada

Comments : Bought my 2002
Marauder 800 at Holeshot Racing in Langely, B.C. in 2002. Since
then I have put 25,000 Kilometers (roughly 15,000 miles) on it.

Items added are Mapam forward controls, Arlen Ness mirrors, bags,
Corbin seat, Cobra slash-cuts/jet kit and a few chrome pieces.

I am 46 years old and have found this to be a great machine for
a relaxing cruise anywhere.

The price was right ($8,050 without tax) when I got it. The extras
probably cost me about $2,500 but well worth it.

I think the only other thing I want now is a tach and all will
be set.

1980 Suzuki GS 1000 G
1980 Suzuki GS 1000 G

Owner: Sean Clark, Snelson, England

Comments : Here are my GS1000G's.
They are both 1980 models.

The black one is original apart from the exhaust.

The silver one I have recently acquired and needs a seat to make
it original, again apart from the exhaust, and I would appreciate
hearing from anybody who might have one for sale.

1981 Suzuki PE 250

Owner: Cody 'Mavrik' Reid, Canada

Comments : My baby is my 81
Suzuki PE 250, with a lot of internal work done to it. I have
bored it .060 over, port
matched it, polished the ports, stuck a mint pipe on it, a shorty
silencer,
a 52 tooth steel sprocket, Renthal O-ring chain, revalved 90 RM250
forks,
stiffer springs on the back, Rethal twinwalls, and a custom gripper
seat
cover. All of this has ran me up $1500 Canadian.

When I got the bike for $300, it
had a baja tanks and IRC 56M 18 x 100/140 rear tires (came with
two).

I wouldn't trade this bike for anything
shy of full on factory sponsorship.
