1982 Suzuki GSX 1000 S Katana

Owner: Victor Chu, Tustin, California, USA

Comments: I saw a Katana for the first time in a 1982 magazine when I was a Freshman in High School. I knew I HAD to have one.

I purchased my first Katana in 1987, it was a highly modified racebike. This is my 3rd Katana, I purchased it in 1992 along with my 2nd running Katana that I bought for parts to restore my current one. It has fewer than 13K original miles on it and has been on display at the Laguna Seca Vintage tent several years ago.

2003 Suzuki GSX 1400, rebuilt

Owner: Robert Holáňová, Ostrava, Czech republic

Comments: My name is Robert. I´m from Czech rep., Ostrava city.
I want to send you my new tuning bike - Samurai Power GSX 1400, 2003, 1,500 km.

I have spent all my leisure time, inclusive holiday, in my garage. It has taken a half year's of hard work to get my bike to what it is today — but now I'm happy to say that my dream bike is almost finished!

The engine is still standard, but will be tuned up with Power Commander. The front end and the rear shock absorber are originally from a ZX-6RR. Braking Wawe discs at the front. The polished swing arm is from RSV 1000 and the wheels come from a CBR929RR. The silencers, drawn under the seat are made by myself. Perfect sound...

Attached is also a picture of a Bandit 1200, my previous bike.
Here's the 1200 Bandit picture.

1974 Suzuki TS 185

Owner: Steve Hayes,
Massachusetts, USA

Comments: I found your website more than a year ago while looking for information about my TS185. You have done a wonderful job, please keep up the great work.

I have a 1974 TS 185 L Sierra. I bought it new on 5 June 1974 for $875. I rode it until 1980 in the dirt and on the street, then neglected it for 22 years.

I did a complete restoration during the winter of 2002-2003. It is stock except for the fork brace, which I put on in 1974 to improve riding in the dirt. It now has 5800 miles on it.

The front rim, exhaust shield, and headlamp case were re-chromed. The handlebars, gas cap, spark plug, hand grips, and air filter are new. All other parts are original, including the seat, all lamps, instruments, chain, sprockets, tank, muffler, and all cables.

It rides and runs very well. I ride it at least once a week for at least 15 minutes, but not in the dirt. Attached are some pictures you may find interesting. Thanks again for your website.
