1987 Suzuki GSX-R 1100 H
Pepsi replica

Owner:
Kevin Marshall,
Ludlow, Shropshire, England

Comments: " I have had this bike for just over a year. It is in beautiful condition and has done a genuine 15,000 miles since new.

It is pretty standard apart from the JMC swinging arm, wheels off a later model, Vance and Hines exhaust, Dynojet kit and a +1 tooth engine sprocket.

It runs like a dream, I would just like to know some more info about this limited edition model."

Arjan was kind enough to send me a PDF (Acrobat Reader) file including a complete 114-page RF900 parts list. It's a bit large (15.4 Mb) file for those with slower (dial-up) connection to the Internet but if you have fast connection and want to download it, here it is: Download RF900 Parts List

1995 Suzuki RF 900 R

Owner: Arjan van Drunen,
Elshout, The Netherlands

Comments: "My bike is a Suzuki RF 900 R from 1995, type S, Silver/Purple, GT73A, unrestricted 135 hp.

After driving Yamaha for a decade (XT500, FJ600 and FJ1200) I was looking for something younger and a bit more sporty than my 1988 FJ1200 but with approximately the same power and torque. After spending many hours on the internet and in stores looking at various bikes I found a reasonably priced RF with 135 hp and 100 Nm which should do the trick.

I bought it in September 2003 and have ridden 20,000 km with it since than without any problems, now it has 85,000 km in total.

The bike is almost original, 2 things have changed:
  Rear wheel tyre size 180.
Carbon Micron exhaust, which is not hot after a ride (no burns for the passenger) and you can hear when you have to shift gear. The original is so silent I frequently reached the rev limiter.

What probably will be changed are the brake lines for new (steel) ones, the rear brake feels too soft for me but the front breaks still bite the asphalt.

For me this is the perfect bike for my way of driving:
Good ride for (with) a passenger, the kids love it.
Powerful enough for a fun ride in the hills and to keep up with almost any bike in a sprint and on speed
No problem getting the power on the road, doesn't always want to make a wheelie.
Good riding position, no problems when we do over 800 km on small roads in a day.

It's a shame Suzuki has no replacement for the RF since they stopped production of this fine all-round sport bike.

1983 Suzuki GS 750 T

Owner: Navi Song,
Bethesda, Md, USA

Comments: " Love your site. I just had some additional info for you on this model. In 1983 the engines were painted Black and this was the final year of production. Also if you notice from the pic, the paint scheme on the tank is reversed for the last year as well.

I will send you pics in a few months of my 1983 GS750T restoration when it is completed. One other pic I enclosed shows how my bike looks currently."
