Comments: ”Tidy UK spec model. Currently (Dec 2003) the engine is in bits awaiting a reconditioned crank.”

1967 Suzuki TC 250

Owner: Owner: Joe W Richardson,
Hull, United Kingdom

Comments: ”Fully reconditioned during 2002. American spec ‘high pipe’ fitted with the slightly more powerful T21 engine (basically a T20 with higher compression ratio cylinder heads).

Slightly customised with chrome front mudguard and later model vacuum fuel tap. Another not very common version seen in England. Goes extremely well, with a very responsive mid range engine and surprising good gear change (for a T20 type gearbox).”

Comments: ”If one of something is good then it follows that having two of them is better. This one though is completely standard but will require a full recondition.”

1970 Suzuki T 250-II

Owner: Owner: Joe W Richardson,
Hull, United Kingdom

Comments: ”Non standard paint job, broken seat and wrong speedo but all the rest there. Currently (Dec 2003) stripped down and having a rebore etc prior to rebuilding later in 2004.”

1971 Suzuki T 250 R

Owner: Owner: Joe W Richardson,
Hull, United Kingdom

Comments: ”Bought as a runner in 2002 but fitted with a T350 top end plus a number non standard parts. Stripped and rebuilt in 2003 with all the correct parts plus, as usual, a fully reconditioned crank and rebore.

The engine is now fully run in and the bike performs well. All the controls are feather light and it is just a joy to ride. Note that the bike is a non UK spec and therefore has the ‘J’ type headlamp and upper stayed front mudguard.”

1976 Suzuki GT 250 A

Owner: Owner: Joe W Richardson,
Hull, United Kingdom

Comments: ”Recent purchase (Dec 2003). Was running a couple of years ago but has most of the wiring missing.

Intention is to give it a good service check (with engine strip just to be sure) and put it back on the road as a tidy runner.”

1977 Suzuki GT 250 B

Owner: Owner: Joe W Richardson,
Hull, United Kingdom

Comments: ”Its previous incarnation was as a production racer in the 1980’s. I rebuilt the bike in 91 and kept the colour scheme from its racing days.

The bike has just been given a good general rebuild (2003) along with the usual crank and rebore. Unfortunately the bike looked good apart from the paintwork which was getting very tatty.

As I had a full set of body parts for a model B it was decide to lose its heritage and put it back to standard. Currently (Dec 2003) running in the engine.”

1969 Suzuki TC 305

Owner: Owner: Joe W Richardson,
Hull, United Kingdom

Comments: ”The current ‘Jewel in the Crown’ and a show winner in 2003. This bike has been owned for ten years but it has not been until 2002 that all the necessary parts to complete the rebuild were found. As usual, the engine has a reconditioned crank and rebore plus rebuilt carbs.

The bodywork has been professionally resprayed back to the original colours and the seat has been professionally recovered (though in ‘mock’ rather than proper suede for longevity).

Unusually, all the chrome is original and has only been polished prior to rebuilding.

This bike draws the crowds; many younger bikers with trials bike seem to think that it is a new model.

As far as I am aware it is the only one of it’s kind on the road in England. Anybody else got one?”

1969 Suzuki TC 305

Owner: Owner: Joe W Richardson,

Comments: ”Here’s the answer to the above question. In searching for the parts for the first 305, I ended up with another bike as well as all the parts needed for this one.

Due for rebuild possibly late 2004 though there is a consideration, if I have another then the uniqueness of my first TC305 is lost!”

1971 Suzuki T 350 R

Owner: Owner: Joe W Richardson,
Hull, United Kingdom

Comments: ”Rebuilt a number of years ago using the best bits from a model ‘J’. Recent heavy vibration from the engine has forced a ‘retirement’ pending investigation of the problem.

Additionally, all the parts to complete as a model R are now available so it will come back in the correct guise.”
