1978 Suzuki GS 1000 S

Owner: Zav Sabaian,
Florida USA

Comments: ”My name is Zav, I am Armenian and live in Florida
US, near Disney World.

When I was a young man in the military I bought my first GS1000 in 1978 while stationed in Florida.

I was reassigned to the U.K. RAF Upper Heyford in 1980 and had to sell my beloved GS1000.

After four years in the military I got out and as a civilian bought a used 1979 GS1000S. I joined the military again but the Reserve, so I was at home. I had that beautiful bike from 1982 to 1991 when it had 18,000 miles. I think the carbs needed cleaning
so I sold it.

After about two months I started to regret I sold it and since it was so many years I gave up on finding a low mileage GS1000S.

The years went by and I finally retired in 2010. I moved to Florida from NY.

2015 I found a perfect GS1000S in this very wealthy person's motorcycle collection. So here are some pictures of my new baby.”

1982 Suzuki GS 750 T

Owner: Colm Reynolds,
Charlottesville VA, USA
e-mail: tocolmreynolds@gmail.com
Comments:” I bought my Suzuki GS750TZ in August 2016. It ran then but I crashed into a deer that April. Two years after that (March 2019) it runs better than it did 37 years ago.

I've put about 4,000 miles on it since it was bored out to 815cc to fit forged wisecos. It had to be bored out due to rust.

The only modifications are the new pistons, LED headlight, and aftermarket horn. Pretty much everything else is rebuilt with OEM or new old stock Suzuki parts.

I bought the GS750 because people said it was tough and reliable. That is an understatement. Take it from someone who can break anything, the Suzuki really puts up a fight. This one's been left for decades full of water, crashed, overheated, hydrolocked, raced agains Lamborghinis 20 years newer, reved over 11 grand, used to move heavy objects, pretty much every bad thing you can think of. The only time it didn't get me home, I went through other way in an ambulance. I'm sure it was my fault. But be warned, reliable doesn't mean easy. I spend the evening doing maintenance twice a week, and the weekend once a month. But I love it, I take extra care.

I have three GS750's. And I have time, I don't own a car

.The four photos without a rider are from this month.

The four photos without a rider are from this month. The one with a rider is me, I'm 23, I do most of the work myself.”
