Suzuki GS 550 ES

Owner: Thijs Bozet, Amersfoort the Netherlands

Purchased: November 2002

Mods: None

Comments: It is my first bike, I bought it a couple of
days ago. It is American import model. Can't tell more about it
before I have checked it out. Looking for a service/repair manual.
Note: The GSX550ES was called GS550ES only in North-America.

Suzuki TS 125

Owner: Helmut Reichelt, Stuttgart Germany

Comments: I have just started motorcycle riding again. I
think the TS125 is a good choise when riding at winter and travelling
with a motorhome. It is small enough to carry along at the rear
end of the motorhome.

Suzuki GV 1400 Cavalcade LX

Owner: Roger Pépin, Québec Canada

Comments: I just bought for my pleasure this beautiful
Cavalcade LX. It`s already A-1 mechanically tune-up and the
finish should be done next year just for the passion. Enjoy
life and the ride.

Suzuki GSX 400 F

Owner: Dewet Diener,
Stellenbosch South Africa

Comments: I bought her at the beginning of the year, after
having her imported from Japan. The model was never intended to
be exported from Japan and no English literature exists for it
:(. However, it uses the same frame as the GSX600F from the same
era, and the GSXR-400R engine. This makes finding spares a tad
easier, however with the more exotic things (like electrical system
components) Suzuki here in South Africa refuses to help me.

I'm
overall very happy with it. It is rather heavy for a 400, but
it handles like a dream. The slingshot design is renowned for
its bite. I seem to be getting around 15 km/liter, which is fair,
in my opinion, since I ride rather hard. She can be very temperamental,
but usually a good service fixes her like new again. Currently,
I'm just baffled at a fuel-starve problem I'm seeing on long roads.

Suzuki GSX 1100 EF

Owner: Doug Hogarth,
Nelson New Zealand

Purchased: 1991, 2nd owner

Comments: It is in original condition, except for a K&N
air cleaner and Givi boxes. We have covered many km's fully kitted
for touring and found it great. The only problem is a high pitched
vibration that we can't seem to get rid of. Apart from that the
bike is excellent. I'm happy for anyone to ask questions about
the bike by e-mail.

Suzuki TC 250

Owner: Joe W Richardson,
Hull UK

Comments: Full reconditioned bike but has a number of non-standard
parts like chrome mudguard and seat. I have another TC250 all
original so as this bike was bought with the replacement items
already fitted it has been left that way.

Joe collects old Suzukis. He tells that
he is a sad person who don't like getting ride of
things. He owns 40 Suzukis, 20 engines and other spares, lots
of books and manuals and bike magazines from the 60's and 70's.

Suzuki T 20

Owner: Joe W Richardson,
Hull UK

Comments: This one has had a number of replacement, currently
the engine is in bits as the crankshaft is being reconditioned.
Note that reconditioning for me means that they look good on the
road. I keep my bike for riding and don't believe in hiding
them away. I also try to repair the original parts if possible.
I will therefore paint a rear mudguard silver if it has
corroded badly rather than replace it. If it looks the same
from the side it's good enough for me.”

Suzuki T 200

Owner: Joe W Richardson,
Hull UK

Comments: The T200 is a US Special import and it's fully
reconditioned. Not all of the 40 bikes are different models. For
instance I have seven T200s of different versions i.e. painted
tank, chrome tank, American spec, high pipe etc. The thing about
the older bike is that out of the seven T200's I will only get
four that are in good condition, there may be another one to sell
as a project bike and the other two will have been used for spares
and therefore not able to be completed.

Suzuki TC 200

Owner: Joe W Richardson,

Comments: The TC200 is also an American import. The paintwork
is poor, it has been given a quick brush coat of red until I can
get round to carrying out a full recondition. The main problem
is the chromework and that limits the number of bikes that can
be built. Engine parts is also a problem however I buy any
old engine I come across in order to keep the stock up.
I must have about 20 engines as spares as well as the bikes.
