Comments: ”I noticed that you did not have many pics of the GS1150. Here are some pics of my bike, '85 GS1150E.
I bought the bike new. After riding it for about two years, it ended up in storage until February 2004, when I brought her back to life.
The bike has less than 4,000 miles on it. It is all original (except the tires, of course), and is in perfect condition. It's probably the last good example of what the 1150 looked like when new.
The power is awesome, and the bike handles like a dream.”

1981 Suzuki RV 50

Comments: ”I'm Luciano from Argentina, owner of some classic bikes as Honda Z50J, Yamaha GT 80 Mini-trail and Suzuki RV 50.
Last year I finished restoring (rebuilding) the RV 50. I think the bike is really beautiful.
I needed to replace the clutch-plates (3 units) but couldn't find the spare parts in Argentina. I visited dealers, bike shops and mechanics but nobody had them in stock.
I ordered the clutch plates from USA via a big bike shop. Two months later they called me to say the goods had arrived! I was very happy... but when I checked the diameter the new plates were lightly different compared to the old ones. Oh nooooo!!!
It's well-known fact that it is always very difficult to get spare parts to mid-eighties bikes like Suzuki and Kawasaki here in Argentina.
Fortunately I got the clutch plates later and the problem was solved. On Internet I found Steven Stavrou, an owner of a Suzuki RV 50 who lives in Cypress. He found the plates and sent them to me - a long travel through the world... Now the bike runs as perfect as it looks.
I attached two images. The first one shows the RV50 restoration, step by step . The second one shows the finished bike in larger format.”

1978 Suzuki RM 50

Comments: ”Here's three pictures of the '78 Suzuki RM 50. It was manufactured in Japan 10/77 according to the VIN sticker. It's been in my garage since 1986.
I traded for it in 1980 and my son rode it for a couple of years. I was cleaning out the garage and decided to get it out and sell it. It ran good when i put it away and now it needs the fuel hoses replaced. It has the original tires and a yellow matching helmet.
I have included a pic of the VIN sticker and a pic of the engine serial number. As you can see its in good shape. Any idea of where i can get some idea of what its worth?”
As I have told you on the FAQ pages and numerous other places on this site, I don't know what the bike is worth. The World is a big place and I hardly know what the bikes are worth in Sweden.

1974 Suzuki GT 550

Comments: ”I have just completed a 16 month restoration of my GT550.
The bike was in reasonably good and quite original condition when I bought it, and had only two owners and a recorded mileage of just over 16,000 miles. I was given all the MOT certificates and all the vehicle licence discs going right back to early 1975 - these are a real bonus in showing the history of the bike.
The original owner had ridden the bike from 1974 to 1983 when he suffered an injury (not motorcycle related) which meant he was unable to ride. The bike was then stored for 16 years and finally sold in 1999!
I then bought the bike from this second owner in October 2004.
I am due to take the finished bike to show to the original owner in a few weeks time. I think he will shed a tear when he sees her restored to delivery condition!
The restoration has been done with reference to resource photos and the factory parts book. I believe she is accurate down to the last detail. I know that is a dangerous thing to say as there are so many 'critics' out there who think they know better!
In terms of cost, I have bought over 200 NOS parts, including a complete exhaust system, mudguards, and all other chrome items. The frame and ancillary parts have been stripped and sprayed (I do not believe in powder coating), the engine has been stripped, all components vapoured blasted, crank rebuilt, barrels re-bored 1st oversize, new pistons rings little ends etc etc. Wheels have been rebuilt using NOS rims. The stainless spokes are the only stainless items I have permitted on the bike!
Any moments of madness? Well of course! Most ridiculous exploit was having a set of 24 'S' head bolts made for the crankcase halves plus various chassis bolts, including the engine mountings, all made to original pattern then zinc plated. I could go on for hours but I won't.
Was it all worth it? Hell yes it was! I think she is a beautiful bike and a lovely ride, and I'm proud to be the one who saved her from the scrap heap.
Forget the 750 - the 550 is Suzuki's jewel in the crown!
I hope you like the look of the bike - I will be showing her around the UK this summer.”
