1977 Suzuki AP 50

Owner: Stuart Milbourne, Ipswich, UK

Comments: ”The bike I have bought was purchased in Febuary this year off Ebay. I'm 15 and nearly old enough to go on the road, but after doing motorcross for nearly eight years, I didn't like the idea of a rev up and go, and my dad said that this was the a way round it.

I have an AP50 which is registered 1977 and is on an R plate. The condition in the photo's is how I got it, but now need to do some work on it to get it ready for the road.

I think the front end is wrong which is how I found your site (looking for photo's of other AP's so I can compare.
I have sent two photos of the AP50 by itself and one with me on it.

I want to restore my bike so it may be helpful to get in touch with other owners. Please send me e-mail.”

The AP50 was called A50K or K50 in some countries.

Comments: ”My husband has been into Suzukis ever since he's been old enough to ride and although I have been crazy on bikes only passed my test last November.

The first of the photos shows the T250J. Terry got it about three years ago in this condition. It is 1972 on a K plate and as you can see it is in desparate need of restoration.

Terry is in the middle of building a workshop, as the shed wasn't big enough and he didn't want to run out of room in the middle of restoring it.
He wants to get it back to showroom condition, but until the workshop is done i'm afraid it's on hold.

The bike in the background is an Ariel, a friend's bike. I think it comes from the 1920-1930 era.

The GS500 is mine, which I brought from brand new in November last year. It is on a 53 Plate and now has 1,237 miles on the clock. I really enjoyed riding it but am now looking for something else (SV650).

The GT550 is my husbands bike. I bought it for him when I passed my test in November last year. It is all original and is his pride and joy. It is 1977 and is on a R plate.

And finally a father, son and mum photo. the GS, Terry's modern bike, a GSF600 Bandit, and Stuart's AP50.

The Bandit was bought in March this year. It is registered 1998 on a P plate and all Terry says is Boy have bikes changed over the years.”

1980 Suzuki GSX 750 E

Owner: Gregg Howarth,
Manchester, UK

Comments: ”I have owned my GSX750E for two months. It is 24,000 miles old and it's condition is somewhat changed from standard :?)

Monoshocked rear, cut, lifted and welded rear part of frame, stage 1, K&N filters, GSX1100 16" wheels and forks, mini speedo and rev counter, flat bars, clutch converted to hydraulic from cable, crappy headlight, cool taillights and a new paint job.

She isn't quick or fast, but she's my baby. You don't get many people seeing and admiring your hard work if you are blasting past them at 160+ mph :?)

I'm part way through completing a new headlight unit, so I will send another pic when I've done it.”

1985 Suzuki GS 1150 E

Owner: Daryl H. Davison, Virginia Beach, Va, USA

Comments: ”Just thought you'd like to see my total restored 1985 GS 1150E.

I have been working on this project for 2 1/2 years. It has a completely rebuilt 1,229cc motor, 36mm flatslide carbs, 348 web cams, powder coated frame and swingarm, all new bearings everywhere, new disks, brakes, forks, clutches, pistons and many new parts like gauges, mastercylinders, rear taillight and wiring harness.

It's engine was rebuilt by Larry (Spiderman) McBride and his brother Steve McBride. The Worlds Quickest and Fastest Top Fuel Motorcycle on the Planet. We are great friends and I help them with the Top Fuel Bike at the shop before they got to the races.

This weekend we are going to Indianapolis, Ind for the Pingel Nationals. Drop by Prostar.com to see how we do.”
