1971 Suzuki T 350 Rebel

Owner: Mike Freeman,
Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada

Comments: Purchased new in 1971
and sold it three years later.

Changed handlebars to flat style for more comfortable ride position
(my preference) and added backrest and luggage rack for my girlfriend
...gotta keep them happy also.

Went two teeth less on front sprocket ...sure played havoc with
all those 350 Yamahas.

Love two-strokes, I've owned Hondas, Yamahas, Suzukis, but most
happy on a two-stroke.

My older brother had an X-6 which started the bug, then a T500,
friends had 500s and 750 water buffalos, finally my brother
bought a newer 500 Gamma but he has also picked up an X-6 to
restore, and owns a minty GT750 two-stroke, among others.

I had to compete so I bought an RZ500 Yamaha V-4 2-stroke ...what
a rush.

1968 Suzuki K 15 P

Owner: Quincy Nguyen,
Bloomington, Minnesota USA

Comments: I thought you might
enjoy a picture of my '68 Suzuki K15P with only 1,700 original
miles parts.

I never ever had to do anything to this bike except annual tune-up
and enjoy.

The bike is fun to ride and very reliable. Unfortunately, it's
little too small for me. However, I get a lot of stares when I
ride down the street or to the corner.

By far, Suzuki was way ahead of the technology when these bikes
were made.

1969 Suzuki K 11 P

Owner: Ian Holmes, North Wales UK

Comments : I have now completed
the restoration of a K11P, I have also taken delivery of a K15P
from Arizona, that's currently under restoration. I will also
have a 1959 SB125 Colleda Seltwin delivered from Canada. It will
need a little work to return to standard but it is still used
on the road and looks in very good condition.

The K11P in the pictures is a 1969 model. I bought it as a basket
case in February 2003 and the rebuild took six months. See the
attached pictures of before the rebuild (the red one) and some
more of the bike from different angles.
Here's more Suzuki K11P info.
See even Ian's other beautifully restored
bikes on pages 1, 2 and 60.

1978 Suzuki GS 1000

Owner: Ted Hanson
Lancaster, California, USA

Comments: Here are a couple
of shots of my 1978 GS1000. I bought it a few months back for
$750.00 and since then I have put an additional $500.00 into it.

It is completely stock except for the oil cooler and handlebars.
The bike
has 61,000 miles on it and it runs like new.

It was quite dirty when I first got it, so I did a slight refurbish
(not restoration) job on it.

I ride it daily and always get compliments on it. I restore 1968
to
1971 Yamaha Enduros for a hobby but I enjoy the Suzuki much more
for riding.

I live in the Mojave desert in Southern California, just North
of Los Angeles. It's a great location for motorcycles. A lot of
open area and the weather is such that you can ride practically
all year. The desert is so dry that rust and body decay almost
never occurs.

1972 Suzuki T 250

Owner: Dave Barlow
Chelmsford, Essex, England

Comments: Bike first registered
1973. Purchased from a friend in 1978, bike had murals on tank
and side panels, red frame, some GT parts.

Put in the shed in 1981, got it out again in 2001 very rusty!
Full nut and bolt restoration, all black parts powdercoated silver,
lots of stainless but faithful to the original design.

1975 Suzuki GT 380

Owner: Ian Bunton,
Rugby, Warks, United Kingdom

Comments: I have owned four
GT380s, the first in 1981 when I was 17, it was a 1976 (P reg)
in gold. It cost me £275 to buy and £285 to insure.
I only earned £40 per week at the time. My current bike
is a 1975 M model in Candy Red, have owned it since 1997, paid
£400 for it with enough spares to build another bike which
i sold on. I replaced the crank and pistons on it four years ago
but I don't ride it much due to fuel consumption.

I also own a 1970 Honda SS125.

1998 Suzuki VZ 800 Marauder

Owner: De
Firre, Belgium, webmaster for www.marauderbiker.centerall.com

Purchased: May 2002

Comments: I find
it's a very good bike I have now. About 30,000 km without any
technical problems.

I find the original saddle unfomfortable on longer rides. I replaced
it with a Mustang saddle, it made a great difference.

I also mounted a sissy bar, saddle bags, crash bars, windscreen,
radiator grill and a chrome light bar.

1985 Suzuki GS 550 L
Owner: Paul Binder, Lausanne Switzerland

Purchased: 2002

Mods: new handlebar

Comments: I love the engine but I hate the front end feeling,
although it feels much better with a new handlebar!

No technical problems with this bike, there's 13,000 km on the
meter now. It's also a good winter bike with a fresh battery.

I have never seen another GS550L in my hometown. Strange bike! |
