1986 Suzuki GSX-R 400

Owner: Geert van
der Pas, made Holland

Comments: It's my first bike. I bought got the bike in '99
from a friend, who bought it at a bike shop called Voss-oss. It
is now gone out of business, so my path in finding the previous
owners ends here... I think it's ideal for learning to ride, thanks
to its lightweight! Now I am ready for more power, but I don't
know if I am going to sell this beauty...

1955 SJK DH-1 Porter Free

This is not actually not a bike owned
by any of my readers, I just thought you wanted to see this.
The bike was spotted about eight years ago on a swapmeet in
Japan. It went unsold although the only missing part of the
bike was the taillight lens and the bike is very rare, being
one of the very first Suzuki motorcycle models, from the time
before mass production assembly lines. The pictures were taken
by a friend of Joe Broussard, USA, who mailed me the pictures.

For those who wonder about the SJK: the name Suzuki
wasn't used on the early Suzukis, The SJK was a short version
of the company name Suzuki Jidosha Kogyo (Suzuki Loom Manufacturing
Company).

1982 Suzuki GS 1000 G

Owner: Kris Marais, South Africa

Mods: Obviously a fairing and a luggage
kit (looks like Karuser to me)

Comments: Here's a pic of my GS1000G parked at Cape Agulhas,
the most southern tip of Africa. This bike was registered on 1
January 1982 in South Africa. It is so ugly that it is beautiful...
I call it My Precious, like Gollum in the film Lord of the Rings
calls the ring of power (My Precious). It has done 74,000 km and
I intend going to the Buffalo rally in Port Elizabeth at the end
of March a round trip of 1,600 km.

Kris sent also a photo of a visiting guy from Denmark called Finn,
with a GS 000G he had hired for a 200 km trip to Gansbaai near
Cape Town.

1980 Suzuki GS 750 E

Owner: Rob Appleby, Canada

Comments: I have recently purchased a 1980 GS750 which I
believe is a GS750E. The owner's manual has gotten lost along
the way. I have contacted Suzuki Canada and they are unable to
help. Any ideas will be greatly appreciated.
Here's more GS750E info.

1982 Suzuki GSX 400 F

Owner: Eric de Jong, Holland

Comments: I own a Suzuki GSX400F from 1982/1983. I
can't find a workshop or repair manual for it, I've been
looking around for over a year now and still nothing! Need help
in getting one. I also own two of the same type of bikes, as just
a 400 kilos worth of parts, that I can use to keep my bike running.
If there's anyone looking for anything, maybe I can help.

1972 Suzuki T 500

Owner: Chris Gyorgy. Langley, British Columbia, Canada

Comments: I am a big Suzuki fan.

Here are some pictures of one of my bikes, I have owned it for
about ten years. When I bought the bike it was in pieces and very
rusty. Over the years I have brought it back to life. Last year
I put a four leading shoe front brake. This summer it will have
piggy back gas shocks and I amworking on electronic ignition.
I will use Volkswagen parts (that is my day job, a VW mechanic).
