1981 Suzuki GS 850 G

Owner: Wynand CJ Hart (Alex)
Somerset West, Western Cape,
South Africa
Purchased: 16 Jan 2008
Mileage: 60 156 km (when bought)
Comments: “After trying to get hold of a GSxxxG for the last ten years, since I drove a friends GS750 and another friends GS1000, I have finally managed to get hold of my dream bike. I will never sell this bike. I'm going to fix it up and keep it. Even if I later buy another newer bike, this baby will always have a space in my garage and heart.
I think this bike is awesome! I can recommend any of the GSxxxG range of Suzuki's to people looking for a bullet-proof bike, these engines just keeps turning and the drift shaft makes for such a smooth ride.”

1982 Suzuki GS450GA

Owner:Tom Thacker
Poultney, Vermont, USA
Comments: “The bike I have is a '82 GS450GAD. It’s had some modifications done to it. The seat has been cut into a lower profile, and the gas tank has been faired out to give a more rounded profile.

I have had the bike for about three years, but haven’t had a chance to put it on the road yet. Right now it needs a bit of engine/carburetion/electrical work.
It seems as though one cylinder isn’t firing completely, which leads me to think it’s a coil issue. Also, when it does fire, it gives out a god-awful metallic bang inside the engine. I hope that is just a symptom of the cylinder overloading, and not actually a problem inside the case.

I do plan to eventually pull it completely apart and rebuild it, provided I can find gasket kits for it. It seems that parts are getting scarcer and scarcer.”

1991 Suzuki RGV 250 Gamma

Owner: Pietro Arrigoni,
Padania Italy
Comments: ”Hi Jarmo, I already wrote you sending a photo about my old renewed Honda VF400F some years ago, but now I have some more to show you...
After long experiments a wonderful RGV 250 came out from my garage. Fully reconditioned and with Cagiva Mito tail...
I did a terrible job with my friend Franco Agazzi, a new position for water and oil reservoir tanks with a lot mods about rear subframe, GSX-R 1000 passenger footrest, many special carbon parts, new pistons, valves, etc... And finally.....it arouse... a new era for the RGV. Here is the monster!”
