1967 Suzuki K15P Hillbilly
Owner: Scott Andersen,
Texas USA

Comments: These are photos of my 1967 K15P Hillbilly. It is all original, right down to the tires. It has less than 950 miles on it, and runs like a new motorcycle.

“The ST model did have modified cams and all the other bits that are mentioned in your article and came in red/white and blue/white,” Doug writes.

1980 Suzuki GS1000S

Owner: Doug, Australia

Comments: “I bought my GS1000ST in June 1981 in Perth, Western Australia, for $3089 on road. To my knowledge only 30 were imported to W.A.

The dealers didn’t even know they were the last ones. I was 17 and the first of 5 of us to get a GS, and yes it blew everything off the road until all the 1100s started coming out, but even then with some mods (pipe, smoothbore carbs, better cams) it held its own. Even whipped my mates Kawi 750 turbo by a good 4 bike lengths to top gear.

We all ended up selling our bikes for one reason or another around 1985, regrettably.”

“It's hard to find parts for this particular model. Also, there's not too much info regarding this bike, except what I've seen on your site. Anyway, here's me practicing on my bike after the repair shop resurrected it,” Lynne writes.

1988 Suzuki GN250
Owner: Lynne Sorensen,
Stoneham, MA USA
Comments: “I bought my '88 Suzuki GN250 almost a year ago with 25,000 miles on it.

There are no modifications to it, but plenty of rust, especially at the top of exhaust pipes.

This is my first motorcycle and I love it. It's a great starter bike!

I had started making payments on a brand new 2006 Boulevard S40, but when a friend offered her bike for only $100 I couldn't resist.

When I got it, it didn't run. So, I invested a few hundred to have it resurrected. I figure after I get more experienced riding I'll buy new.”

“I have been complimented many times on this bikes sweet classic look. It’s nimble, comfortable, pretty quick for one up and it just keeps going,” Jamie writes.

1982 Suzuki GS850GL

Owner: Jim (Jamie) Planty,
Lakeland, FL, USA

Comments: “I purchased my GS850GL in the fall of 1999, in Winthrop New York. It had 7,100 miles on it when I bought it, now 15,000.

I have restored about 50% of bike; forks, ignition switch, tires, tank, side covers, tires in 2004. I've also added the rack/adjustable backrest and Plexi fairing at that time.

The 850 has a “full” counterweighted crank making pretty smooth, the 1100 had a “pork chop” style counterweighted crank giving more yank but also more vibration. I’ve also heard that the 1100 has more frame flex than the 850L.”

1961 Suzuki TA250

Owner: Delsemme Helmoed,
Lichtaart /Kasterlee, Belgium

Here are pictures of Heloed's new buy. The TA250 (or 250 TA) was an modern bike with connected hydraulic brakes front and rear and an electric starter.

I hope Helmoed finds the time to tell us something about this project as well. Here's some good pictures, anyway.

Helmoed has already renovated one of these beauties. Click here to read his previous comments or just choose the Visitors' Suzuki page #93.
