The Suzuki Street Magic (TR50), which appeared in February 1997, was an automatic small motorcycle that combined a scooter engine with a sports bike-style frame. The forced-air-cooled two-stroke 49cc single-cylinder engine with a striking combustion chamber produced 7.2 ps, which was the manufacturer's self-imposed limit at the time. It had 12-inch wheels, larger than those of a moped scooter.
At the same time as the Street Magic, a sporty version, the Street Magic S, was announced, and a little later in June 1997, Street Magic II (based on the S), with features of an off-road bike, was released.
The following year, the Street Magic 110 and Street Magic II 110, two moped sports models equipped with the Address 110 engine, were also introduced, bringing the series to a total of five models. Suzuki's model name is simply Street Magic, but we will refer to it as the "Street Magic 50" for convenience in order to clearly distinguish it from the 110cc version.
“Quick, easy, cool” is the inspiration behind these innovatively styled sporty scooters. The 50 cm³ 2-stroke engine with a forced air-cooling system generates maximum horsepower of 7.2 PS. These models are equipped with highly rigid twin-tube frames equivalent to those used on sporty street bikes. Features such as powerful front disc brake, large and wide 12-inch front and rear tires, inverted front forks, and rear shocks with a reservoir tank (only on the Street Magic 50S) bring these bikes to the next level of dynamic performance. At the same time, the adoption of an automatic V-belt CVT helps to create a pair of sporty scooters that are friendly and fun-to-ride. The RV-inspired Street Magic II (TR50SD) with off-road themed styling was added later to the lineup based on the original Street Magic.

Suzuki Street Magic (TR50) and Street Magic S (TR50S) were launched in February 1997. The riding position was that of a sport model, but it was actually the pioneer model of an automatic transmission sport motorcycle, in which the riders applied the brake with its right and left levers and were free of troublesome pedal operations.
Three sligthly different models were
offered by Suzuki – the standard version (TR50), the sportier Street Magic S (TR50S) with light alloy cast wheels and upgraded suspension and a few months later the Street Magic II with offroad influenced livery, different headlight assembly, front brake disc guard, high mounted front fender and a small luggage rack.
An export model was made for European market with a power restricted engine.

An export model was made for Germany with a 3.2 PS power restricted engine. It was available in three liveries: black, blue and red. It was marketed as TR50S. The model had the same kind of silencer with ”racing look” like the Japanese TR50S but it didn't have the more advanced rear suspension. It also had some kind of luggage bag hanging from the rear fender.
A similar model was sold even in Great Britain, listed at £1,524 at the time. The claimed peak power of the UK model was 3.5 hp, with restricted CDI and a lower final drive ratio limiting the bike at 30 mph. The model was sold on the British islands between 1997 and 2000.
Other export countries in Europe with their own specifications
for the Street Magic 50 were France, Denmark, Italy and Spain.

The Street Magic II (TR50SD) , launched in June 1997, was an ”offroad” version of the TR50. Techically, it was identical to the Street Magic S with the cast alloy wheels, ”racier” muffler, and the a reservoir rear shock, but it also had a guard protecting the front brake disc, a raised front fender, a luggage carrier and a round headlight protected by a crash bar.
