Suzuki SP600

I have put tried to tell the Suzuki SP 600 model history on this page as I know it. This page is still under construction. . I would be grateful of any contributions — sales brochures, magazine ads, magazine articles, pictures, specs, facts, corrections etc. Please scan the material in JPEG format (large enough that all the details are visible) and send them to me. Please tell me the source and the publication date if possible. If you send me pictures of your own bike, please follow these instructions.

Although the Suzuki SP600 is a model of its own, it's only slightly different from the DR600S, aimed for different markets. Comparing the Suzuki SP600 and DR600S workshop manuals page for page reveals that the models are identical except for the SP has a vacuum type caburettor and the DR a slide type. The SP manual has also has a four page emissions section, other than that they are identical. Except for the colors, of course.

1985 was the only year for the big SP.
