Suzuki RG200 Gamma
1992
I have put some Suzuki RG200 Gamma info on this
page.
I would be grateful of any contributions sales brochures, magazine ads,
magazine articles, pictures, specs, facts, corrections etc. Please scan the material
in JPEG format (large enough that all the details are visible) and send
them to me. Please tell me the source and the publication date if possible.
If you send me pictures of your own bike, please follow these
instructions.

Suzuki RG200 Gamma was basically a RG125F Gamma with a larger
engine. By looking at the specs that I have, one can see that
even the gear ratios are exactly the same. Except for the piston
displacement and power output (35 ps instead of 22 ps) the only
differencies between the 125cc and the 200cc versions are that
the RG200 gamma has a little larger rear tyre and the chassis
and the suspension seems to be injusted for the larger engine.
The overall length of the bike is somewhat shorter than the 125
and the 200 is even a bit lower than its little brother.
Much more power but only slightly more weight, sounds like fun!
The RGV250 Gamma of the time offered much more but the single-cylinder
RG200 Gamma was a cheap alternative to the rather expensive V-twin. |

1992 Suzuki year code: N

Suzuki RG200FN. I must admit that I know very little of this model's
history. I don't know how long it was manufactured. I do know
that it was sold in Japan during 1992 and that's the only model
I have seen anywhere. Perhaps the model was discontinued soon
afterwards, I don't know. Can you confirm this?
