1987 Suzuki RG 125 Gamma comparison against
Honda NS125RII and Yamaha TZR125F (5 pages). Published in Tekniikan
Maailma 11/1987, Finland. Click to enlarge. The winner of the test was the Suzuki, mostly thanks to its
better engine. The test team liked the RG125's large fairing,
efficient engine and brakes, the fuel economy and handling. They
didn't like the automatically returning side-stand (could result
to an accident when parking on leaning surface) and the minimal
space reserved for a passenger. The reporter also mentioned that
the Suzuki was slightly nervous on non-tarmac roads and didn't
like additional price of 1000 FIM for the new red-black-white
color scheme (the bike was otherwise unchanged since 1986).
