Suzuki Mame-Tan 50E brochures

I have tried to find some Suzuki Mame-Tan 50 E brochures to show on this page. I would be grateful of any contributions — sales brochures, magazine ads, magazine articles, pictures, specs, facts, corrections etc. Please scan the material in JPEG format (large enough that all the details are visible) and send them to me. 1977 Mame-Tan 50 brochure from Japan (4 pages). Click to enlarge. There is no printing date specified on brochure but we can tell that this is the first version of the Mame-Tan bike. Drum brakes front and rear, wire wheels, classic and clean look. These good quality scans of the Japanese sales brochure were sent to me by Garry Kemp. Thank you! It shows a green Mame-Tan 50 (OR50) and a white RG50, both of them launched in 1977. Printed in Japan. No specifications shown here.

1978 Suzuki Mame-Tan 50 brochure from Japan (6 pages). Click to enlarge. A custom model with a disc brake at the front and flames on the body was launched aside the standard model. No cast alloy wheels were available yet, that option came the following year. These good qality scans of the Japanese sales brochure were sent to me by Garry Kemp. Thank you! Color options for the custom model were White and Orange, while the standard model was available in Green, Yellow, White and Red.

1979 Suzuki Mame-Tan 50 E brochure from Japan (4 pages). Click to enlarge. In '79 the OR50 was available in 2 version, the Mame-Tan 50 Custom with wire wheels and the Mame-Tan 50E with with star cast wheels. Both versions had a single mechanical disc brake at the front. I believe the full names of the colors were Pearl Black (08E), Marble Pure Red (07P) and Stardust Silver Metallic (737). The brochure shows also the other bikes in the ”Vertical Series”, the Hustler 50, RG50E, RG50 and Min-Tan 50. These good quality scans of the Japanese sales brochure were sent to me by Garry Kemp.

1980 Suzuki Mame-Tan 50 E brochure from Japan (4 pages). Click to enlarge. Updated model. The previous year's Mame-Tan didn't have a grab rail or chromed steel fenders. The disc brake at the front was now hydraulic. I found these snapshots of the brochure on a Japanese auction site. I worked a good while to transform the warped photos to look almost like scanned images. They are not perfect but that's the best I could do with the material I found. The catalogue was published in May 1980.

1981 Suzuki Mame-Tan 50 E brochure from Japan (4 pages). Click to enlarge. I have found these scans on a Japanese websites. It took me a long time before I found all the 4 pages. The last one was the most difficult page to find. At last I found a photo of it on a auction site. The quality is not good but it's better than nothing. I can't find a printing date on the brochure but I believe it's for the 1981 model. You can't read the specs here but the refreshed 50E had 3 kg (6.6 lbs) less dry mass than the previous model. The recommended retail price for the 1981 Mame-Tan was 145,000 yen.
