Bengt's Suzuki M12S racer

1964 Suzuki M12S racer Owner: Bengt Abrahamsson, Sandviken Sweden Bengt sent me pictures of his M12S that he bought recently in Borås, Sweden. He tells me that this bike is one of the first M12s imported to Sweden. He hopes to be able to renovate the bike to its original condition.

Apparently some of the bikes that came from Japan were accidentally dropped on the pier when lifted from the boat from Japan. Somebody saved the parts that were still usable and used them to build a few 50cc racers of them. This was told to Bengt by a man called Björn Roos, owner of a NSU vintage racer.

The guy who sold the bike to Bengt didn't know much about its history. He only knew that it had been ridden on a race track by some Finnish guy. Bengt would very much like to know more about the history of the bike. Anyone with pictures, facts, newspaper clippings, tips or anything, please contact him at email address mgwa@mail.bip.net.
