I have put some Suzuki K11/Sport 80 magazine ad scans on this page. I would be grateful of any contributions — sales brochures, magazine ads, magazine articles, pictures, specs, facts, corrections etc. Please scan the material in JPEG format (large enough that all the details are visible) and send them to me. Please tell me the source and the publication date if possible. If you send me pictures of your own bike, please follow these instructions.

'62 September Suzuki El Camino 250, Classic 50, Magnum 150, Collegian 125 and Trojan 80 magazine ad, USA
.

1962 Suzuki T10 El Camino ”250”, M12 Classic ”50”, 150SGB Magnum ”150”, S31 Collegian ”125” and K11 Trojan ”80” magazine ad from USA (2 pages). Click to enlarge. This 2-page advertisement was published in Cycle World magazine, September 1962. It shows some very early versions of Suzuki models launched in America. Here the ”150” Suzuki is called Magnum, a bit confusing but I think it's the 150 SGB. The nickname ”Magnum” was later used for the Suzuki B100 in the US.

'63 or '64 Suzuki Sport 80 K11 magazine advert
.
1964 Suzuki Sport 80 magazine ad (2 pages). Click to enlarge. ”Purr... Whoosh... Zzzz...”  ”Listen to the smooth heartbeat of the Suzuki Sport's 2-stroke engine as it comes toward you, wooshes by, and buzzes off. (Compare to the putt-putt-putt of a 4-stroker.)” I don't know where and exactly when this 2-page ad was published, I found the image on a Japanese auction site. Suzuki's victories in the 1963 Grand Prix races were mentioned so I assume that it was published in 1964 – or perhaps in late 1963.

'65 Suzuki K11 magazine advert from USA
.
1965 Suzuki K 11 Challenger magazine ad from USA (single page). Click to enlarge. ”Always check specs (even when the print is very fine).” Suzuki wants you to compare its 80cc bike with competition's 90cc bike, and notice that the Suzuki engine delivers as much power as the competition's larger motor, but as being lighter, the Suzuki is faster. Also, the advertisement says that the Suzuki 2-stroke engine only has 7 moving parts while the ”Competition's 90cc Super” has 18 moving parts. The advertisement was published in Cycle Wortld magazine, in both March and April issues. Notice the obvious differences from the model that was sold in Finland (above).
