| 1978 Suzuki GP 125 brochure from Taiwan (4 pages). Click to enlarge. Apparently the Taiwanese version of the Suzuki GP125 was called ”Black Panther 125”. At glance, it looks like the Japanese version of the GP125 but when you look closer you can see differences. The seat is different, there's no rear cowl behind the seat, the meters have a wide chrome plated enclosure... Technically, the brakes are different (drum brake att the front instead of disc) and the drive chain is full covered. The gearbox is 5-speed rotary type with a heel-toe gear shifter. Notice that I'm not even sure about the model year (not mentioned on the brochure). |

| 1978 Suzuki full line brochure page from Japan. Click to enlarge. Earlier I a blurry scan of this piece of a brochure on the Internet. Back then, I didn't realize it was a piece of a full range brochure. Now I found a photo of the same brochure that clealy showed that there were other Suzuki models as well on the same brochure. Suzuki GP125 was launched in March 1978 so it ought to be from that year. The GT100 was launched in 1975 |
