| I have tried to tell the Suzuki Inazuma 400 model history
on this page, as I know it. The page is still under construction.
I would be grateful of any contributions sales brochures, magazine ads,
magazine articles, pictures, specs, facts, corrections etc. Please scan the material

Suzuki model year code: H

Suzuki launched a new model, Inazuma 400, for 1997. It was a large
bike, the same frame was used with a three times larger engine
with the Inazuma 1200, presented a year after its smaller brother.
Even the mechanics are quite similar, only the Inazuma 400 engine
is smaller, giving about half of the power output of the big brother.

Suzuki model year code: W

In February 1999 Suzuki presented the '99 Inazuma. The model was
virtually unchanged, except for new colors; Black being one of them.

Suzuki model year code: Y

In November 2000 Suzuki presented the new somewhat upgraded GSX400
Inazuma. The carburetor was now equipped with a throttle position
sensor improving the throttle response.
