I have tried to tell the story of the Suzuki GSX-R 600 as I know it. 2023 Suzuki year code: M3

The European motorcycle market required new type-approved bikes to meet Euro5 standard by January, 2020, while manufacturers had an extra year to homologate existing models to the latest standard. Yet, the GSX-R600 remained on European showroom floors longer than that. That’s because the firm filed for an “End of Series” extension which allowed dealers to continue selling non-compliant GSX-R600 units for two additional years approaching the end of their run. To the best of my knowledge: As of 2023’s lineup, motorcycle communities hailing from Europe and the UK will no longer be able to purchase a new Suzuki GSX-R600. The brand’s decision to cut the iconic hooner follows the cut of Suzuki’s GSX-R750 and GSX-R1000 due to emissions regulations, leaving behind the R125 and Hayabusa on EU and UK markets. In America, the Gixxer line is still available with new graphics (no other changes). But the emission restrictions are slowly trickling across the Atlantic and may eventually even affect Suzuki’s America-bound bikes. Colors available in USA: Glass Sparkle Black / Glass Matte Mechanical Gray (CHL), Pearl Brilliant White / Metallic Matte Stellar Blue (B5N). A version with Metallic Triton Blue / Metallic Mystic Silver (YSF) livery and Ecstar bagdes was marketed as Suzuki GSX-R600Z special model.

Suzuki GSX-R600 was still available in Northern America with new graphics (no other changes). The White / Blue (B5N) livery option was similar to the previous year's model but had red wheels and the light blue details in the graphics were replaced with the same red color. Suzuki GSX-R600 was still available in Northern America. The 2025 models were technically the same as the year before, and the White / Blue (B5N) livery continued being sold while the Black (KGL) color option was replaced with Black / Gray (BTH) livery. A 40th Anniversay Edition with unique graphics and special parts was launched to celebrate Suzuki GSX-R family’s 40th anniversary. Distinctive 40th anniversary logos harken back to the original GSX-R as the Pearl Vigor Blue and Pearl Tech White bodywork paying homage to famous GSX-R liveries from previous generations.
