I have put some Suzuki GS 850 G magazine advert scans on this page. 1979 Suzuki GS850G magazine adverts from USA (4 pages). Click to enlarge. The pages are shown here in different order. In the magazine, the page with only the text ”Suzuki unchains a beautiful beast...” was first. When you turned the page you saw the two-page picture of the motorcycle (”The New GS-850 Shaft”) and the specs were on the last page of the ad.

1979 Suzuki GS850G magazine advert from USA (single page). Click to enlarge. The left one was found and scanned to me by Jeff Wilson. The ad was published in Playboy magazine, March '79. The ad on the right, ”The Chain Shaftie?”, was published in the Swedish Allt om MC magazine, '79 January and February.

1979 Suzuki GS850G magazine advert from Sweden (single page). Click to enlarge. ”Kedjekardan?” (Chain shaft?). The ad says that with the GS850G Suzuki has managed to combine the desired qualities of both the chain and shaft driven motorcycles and the bike doesn't squat when accelerating. This ad was published in the Swedish Allt om MC magazine in 1980, in both January and February issues.
