2020 Suzuki Gixxer 250 (GSX250R), the color options in Guatemala |

The Suzuki Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 (GSX250FR) was introduced in India in May 2019. Three months later, in August 2019, a naked version, the Gixxer 250 (GSX250R), was added to the lineup. These quarter-litre motorbikes helped Suzuki to find a grip in the 250 cc segment in the country. Both bikes were equipped with a 248cc single cylinder, four-valve, single overhead cam engine with Suzuki Oil Cooling System (SOCS), a fully-digital instrument console and an all-LED setup for lighting.
The Gixxer SF 250 was very similar to its little brother, 155cc Gixxer SF,
introduced in September 2014. The name of the model series derives from a nickname used for Suzuki's GSX-R series of bikes.
Suzuki launched the India-made Suzuki Gixxer 250 and Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 in Japan in March 2020, although the production and deliveries of the bikes were been delayed due to the coronavirus outbreak.

No changes were made to the 2022 model. But in India, motorcycle wheel cover at the rear became a mandatory fitment from October 2020. Every motorcycle which has provision for a pillion rider should come equipped with a permanent hand grip and footrests — and a protective panel or disc that covers at least half the rear wheel to prevent clothes or any accessory of the pillion rider from getting entangled.

Every motorcycle which has provision for a pillion rider should come equipped with a permanent hand grip and footrests — and a protective panel or disc that covers at least half the rear wheel to prevent clothes or any accessory of the pillion rider from getting entangled. That's why the funny looking guard is attached at the rear wheel on the bike in the pictures below.
