Suzuki
EN125
2003—on
I
have tried to tell the story of the Suzuki EN125 as I know it.
I would be grateful of any contributions sales brochures, magazine ads,
magazine articles, pictures, specs, facts, corrections etc. Please scan the material
in JPEG format (large enough that all the details are visible) and send
them to me. Please tell me the source and the publication date if possible.
If you send me pictures of your own bike, please follow these
instructions.

The Suzuki EN125-2A is a urban-type motorcycle , equipped with a 124 cc air-cooled single-cylinder four-stroke engine. It has alloy wheels, a disc brake on the front wheel, and a halogen high/low beam headlight. The model was introduced in 2003 and is still being made, mainly for the South American market.
The EN125 is manufactured under licence in China, although it is not to be confused by many of the poor quality Chinese bikes flooding the market, as it is made to full Suzuki specification using all Japanese manufactured Suzuki parts.
The EN125-2A is an economical small bike, suitable for commuting. Suzuki alleges a performance of 2.1 liters per 100 km, although some users claim it actually offers a performance of around 35 km/l in the city. It is light. The dry weight of the EN125-2A is mere 116 kg (256 lbs). It has both centre and side stands.
It has a complete easy-to-read analog instrument panel with speedometer, tachometer, fuel gauge and a gear indicator. It uses proven simple technology with oil-damped front suspension and rear swing arm suspension with double shock absorbers. The rear dampers are 5-way adjustable.
In Brazil, the model was known as Suzuki EN125 Yes.
In Indonesia, the model was marketed as Suzuki EN125 Thunder.
The Suzuki EN125 is also available in some countries as a load-carrying version called EN125-HU, even called Huracán or Hurricane. It is a business type motorcycle with a large luggage rack, wire wheels and drum brakes front and rear.

The Suzuki EN125-HU sold in Mexico was available in red, blue and white, and had similar specifications to the Arfican version, except the ability to carry big loads of gods was made more important than using the dual seat to transport two persons.
