2001 Suzuki Birdie 90, British Racing Green (Y7G) |

The Birdie 90 is a dual-model business bike with an underbone frame that was launched in October 2001. Equipped with an 88cc, 4-stroke, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine, the specifications of every part and various equipment were equipped with the high durability required for a business bike that was used over and over again. For example, cast aluminum wheels and tubeless tires were standard to withstand many abuses. It also had a brake lock mechanism that locked the front brake lever. A tandem seat is standard. In January 2006, it underwent a complete model change and now has the same design and configuration as the Birdie 50, which was introduced just over a year earlier (November 2004). After that, the Birdie 50 became fuel-injected, but the opportunity to receive a similar minor change to the Birdie 90 did not arise, and the 2009 model ended its history.
The 90 model in the series was sold exclusively in Japan.

The huge luggage rack at was gone and the wire wheels were replaced by a dual seat as standard equipment. The luggage carrier at the front remained, but was now chrome plated.
The Birdie 90 was a small business bike of scooter type, released in October 2001. It had the same 88cc air-cooled 4-stroke single cylinder engine than the earlier FB90 model, the Postal Birdie. The bike was durable, as required for a business bike that would be used heavily. For example, aluminum cast wheels (the first business model to use cast wheels) and tubeless tires were standard equipment to support a large amount of cargo. It also had a brake lock mechanism to fix the front brake lever. A pillion seat was standard equipment.
The earlier K1 bikes had silvercolored engine covers, while the Birdie 90's manufactures in late 2001 had black coated engine covers.
