 Suzuki
Avenis 150
1999—2005
| I
have tried to tell the model history of the Suzuki Avenis 150 (UC150X) as I know it.
I would be grateful of any contributions sales brochures, magazine ads,
magazine articles, pictures, specs, facts, corrections etc. Please scan the material
in JPEG format (large enough that all the details are visible) and send
them to me. Please tell me the source and the publication date if possible.
If you send me pictures of your own bike, please follow these

In late December 1998, just days before Christmas, Suzuki announced that they have launched two new scooters, the 125cc ”Avenis” and the 150cc ”Avenis 150”.
Suzuki calls it a 150cc scooter that aims for a higher level of texture and driving performance. Equipped with a newly designed water-cooled 4-cycle single-cylinder SOHC engine. With a maximum output of 16PS, it enables light and smooth driving by combining it with the V-belt unauthorized speed change system. Despite its compact and easy-to-use body size, it uses large diameter 12-inch tires and aluminum wheels. Combined with the adoption of telescopic front forks and hydraulic disc brakes on the front wheels, a high level of stability and a comfortable ride have been achieved. The design is elegant and sporty. In particular, the front area is dynamic and unique with a sporty mini visor (windshield), large headlamps, and characteristic turn signal lamps.
I'm a bit confused with the name of the model. Sometimes it's called Epicuro and sometimes Avenis. Or both. Is it Epicuro of Avenis? What's the differenece? Is the bagde the only differenece? Was the export model called Epicuro instead of Avenis? I have so many questions... |
