”Lightweight and compact mini bike popular with female riders ” says Suzuki about the Youdy Mini, introduced in in Japan as 1978 year's model. Designed for smaller riders to mount with ease, the Youdy Mini is both easy to handle and ride. It had a dry weight of only 44 kg (97 lbs) and its bicycle-style brakes and automatic transmission made it a great little bike for beginners.
With the popular Japanese singer Masako Mori acting as its poster person in advertisements, this model became popular among a wide variety of riders, particularly women. |

1980 Suzuki year code: T

The most obvious difference between the first incarnation of the Youdy Mini and the 1980 model was the lack of the tool box (or whatever that was) under the luggage rack at the rear and the new design at the front. The front light was moved downwards, below the new basket that replaced the luggage rack at the front. The new head light was square and not round like the old one. |
