I have tried to find some Suzuki VL 250 Intruder info to put on this page. The economical and easy-to-use 250cc cruiser VL250 Intruder was launched by Suzuki in 1999. The model was named LC250 in Japan, the export model was called VL250. Although it was mechanicalle simple machine, its appearance was quite luxurious with lots of chrome plated parts. The engine, muffler, shock absorbers, air cleaner cover, meter cover, head lamp case were all chrome plated. The engine of the 250 Intruder was a newly developed 250cc air-cooled V-twin, quite powerful and easy to ride even at low speeds. The model remained unchanged during the six years it was produced, with only cosmetic changes.

Released in November 1999, Suzuki Intruder LC250/VL250 was an American-style motorcycle in the light motorcycle class, succeeding Suzuki's Marauder 250. The completely new engine was designed to meet to 1998 emissions regulations. The Intruder VL250's configuration, with a 248cc air-cooled 4-stroke V-twin engine mounted on a low and long body resulted to a relaxed riding position with upright handlebars, like the Drag Star 250 (Yamaha) which was released about six months later. The overall form of the vehicle was simple, as is typical of American cruisers, but the quality was enhanced by the extensive use of chrome parts in the details. The VL250 had a low seat height of 685 mm, suitable for even smaller riders, and a comfortable, wide seat. With the abundant torque characteristics from low speeds typical of a V-twin engine and a 5-speed transmission, it was a model that excelled at relaxed cruising. Under the seat was a luggage space with a capacity of about 5 liters (approximately 1.32 US gallons) where raincoats and other items could be stored. Production was suspended for a period, but the model was available until the 2006 model year. There was no new version of the VL250/LC250 Intruder released in japan for the 2002. Suzuki continued to sell the 2001 year's model of the bike.

2006 Suzuki year code: K6

The 2006 model, released in June 2005, added a new color, red, which became the final specification. The model was discontinued in Japan. It did not comply with the domestic 2006 regulations that were required to be met in September 2007. The Intruder 250LC was still available as export model.
