have tried to tell the story of the Suzuki Address V 50 (UZ50X) as I know it.
I would be grateful of any contributions — sales brochures, magazine ads,
magazine articles, pictures, specs, facts, corrections etc. Please scan the material

Suzuki Address V50 (model BA-CA42A) was an new version of the popular Address 50 scooter, launched in March 2006. It was equipped with a large trunk under the seat, a bag holder and a ”glove compartment” with room enough for two 500 ml plastic bottles at the front and a luggage rack behind the seat. It was a light commuter bike, with 66 kg / 146 lbs dry weight.
The fuel-injected engine of the new 50cc Address was a newly developed 4-stroke unit which adopted aluminum-plated cylinder for greater heat dissipation and durability. The intake and exhaust system was thoroughly reviewed. It was easy to start and had good fuel economy and therefore friendly for the environment, something that had become more important factor in the new millennium. The bike was equipped with an analog fuel gauge.
As a countermeasure against theft, Suzuki made a key cylinder with a shutter that also has a seat opener function. A U lock holder was placed in front of the seat, although the U-lock was sold separately and didn't followed the bike at purchase.

A slightly more expensive model version, Suzuki Address V50G, was released at the same time as the V50. It was based on the standard V50, but was a ”deluxe” version of it, equipped with a theft alarm, a 12V DC socket in the trunk for charging a mobile phone, alarm sensor that sensed shaking of the bike during parking. The additional equipments made the V50G 1 kg (2.2 lbs) heavier and the bike 10,500 Yen more expensive than the standard model.
2006 Address V50G retail price in Japan was 136 500 Yen.

Apparently a Special Silver color version of the Address V50 was released by Suzuki in January 2007. It doesn't appear in any 2007 catalog I've seen so I can't tell more about it. According to the parts catalogs there were no K7 model versions of the Address V50 (UZ50X) or V50G (UZ50XG) released. The Address V50/V50G brochure printed January 2007 shows the K6 (CA42A) models with no changes in color schemes or prices. A new updated catalog was printed in September 2007. It presented the new 2008 (CA44A) models with catalytic converter.

Suzuki released a new, sligtly upgraded Address V50 (model BA-CA44A) in September 2007 as 2008 year's K8 model. To meet the tightened Japanese 2006 exhaust emission regulations, Suzuki installed a catalytic converter and a lambda sensor to the bike. Together with the fuel injection and fully transistorized ignition met the new emission standards. This increased the dry weight by 1 kg (2.2 lbs), and the price increased by 19,000 yen excluding tax.
The performance of the engine remained unchanged with
5.2 hp (3.8 kW) peak power and 4.5 Nm (0.46 kg-m) peak torque. Red was no longer available as color option for 2007. The rest of the colors from the previous year, Blue, Black and White, remained as color choises.
The retail price for the 2008 Suzuki Address V50G was 145,950 Yen, including taxes.

A limited color version, Candy Napoleon Blue (YHJ), was released in December 2007. Its retail price was the same as for the basic model.

Released at the same time with the standard Address V50, Suzuki offered a V50G lineup of four hues, Candy Max Orange (YME) being a new color. The other color options were Euclase Silver Metallic (YLV), Glass Shine Black (YGS) and Oort Gray Metallic (5AX).
The retail price for the 2008 Address V50G was 156,450 Yen, including taxes.

No mechanical changes, only a new color palette.
The '09 Address V50 color options were: Mystic Silver Metallic (GRF), Oort Gray Metallic (5AX), Solid Special White No.2 (30H) and Glass Shine Black (YGS).

In May 2009, Suzuki presented the '09 Address V50G models. No mechanical changes were made. New color options were Candy Ruby Magenta (YRH) and Aqua Blue Metallic (YRB), Oort Gray Metallic (5AX) remained as the only color from the previous years's V50G color palette.

2010 Suzuki year code: L0
Minor changes were made to the '10 Address V50 models, presented in July 2010. The shape of the air cleaner box, muffler, and muffler cover were changed. The changes were made to reduce exhaust emission, resulting in lower peak power. The Address V50 engine still deliveres 4.5 hp, which is lot bad high for a 50cc 4-stroker.
Solid Special White No.2 (30H) and Glass Shine Black (YGS) were kept as color choices.
In December 2010, Oort Gray Metallic (YHG) was added as a special color option and a month later, in January 2011, Aqua Blue Metallic (YRB) was added to the 2010 Address V50 color palette.

In May 2011, the Address V50 was received a facelift. This time the cahnges were motre visible. The wheel color was changed from silver to black. The design of the speedometer panel and the model decals on the side panels were new.
Color options: Solid Special White No.2 (30H), Glass Shine Black (YGS) and special colors Glass Midnight Brown (YWG), released in in December 2011 and Triton Blue Metallic (YSF), released in January 2012.

Suzuki Address V50G, a model with a theft alarm and 12V accessory socket in the trunk under the seat disappeared from the catalogues after 2011. The standard V50 was unchaged from the previous year, except for the coloring.
The '12 Address V50 was available in four colors: new colors Alpha Red (YLR) and Glass Cosmic Dark Blue (YGT), among with the existing colors Solid Special White No.2 (30H) and Glass Shine Black (YGS).

The '13 Suzuki Address V50 was unchaged from the previous year, except for the coloring. In december 2012, two returning special colors were made available: Mystic Silver Metallic (YMD) and Glass Midnight Brown (YWG). The standard colors for the V50, presented in February 2013 were the new color Splash White (4SX) plus the existing colors Glass Shine Black (YGS) and Alpha Red (YLR). Another special color, Glass Azure Blue (PJL), was released in April 2013.

The '14 Suzuki Address V50 was available in four colors: the new Sweet Brown No.2 (PBT) and the existing colors Glass Azure Blue (PJL), Splash White (4SX) and Glass Shine Black (YGS). There were no changes to specifications or manufacturer's suggested retail price.

The '15 Suzuki Address V50, presented in May 2015, was equipped with the same engine as the new Let's.
The sporty appearance and comfortable ride position from the predecessor model were the same, but the new fuel-injected SEP engine improved the fuel efficiency. According to Suzuki, the V50 could be ridden 73 kilometres with one liter gasoline.
Color options: Splash white (YDG), Candy Darling Red (YYG), Pearl Moonstone Gray (YWC), Glass shine black (YGS).

It took a couple of years, but in September 2018, Suzuki could release a new model of the Address V50 that complied with the Euro 4 emission laws. In January 2016, Euro 4 rules were applied to all newly-homologated motorcycles. In January 2017 the same rules were applied to existing models – although Suzuki (and many other motorcycle manufacturers) managed to use so-called ‘derogation’ to gain an additional two years of grace to continue to sell Euro 3-spec bikes to the end of 2018.
Again, due to the emission control, the engine lost some performance. The peak power was reduced to 3.7 hp (2.7 kW) @ 8 500 rpm and the maximum torque to 3.4 Nm (0.35 kg-m) @ 7 000
rpm (Japan).
The new color is Triton Blue Metallic (YSF), which was used on the GSX-R series and other models. Three colors are available, including Splash White (YDG) and Glass Shine Black (YGS)

After the previous year's model cleared emissions regulations, the '19 Suzuki Address V50, released in January 2019, remained mechanically unchanged. The three colors of the 2018 model were continued and
Matte Stellar Blue was added as a new color.
The 2019 Suzuki Address V50 colors were
Matte Stellar Blue Metallic (YUA), Triton Blue Metallic (YSF), Splash White (YDG) and Glass Shine Black (YGS).
