Suzuki e-Access = Suzuki e-Address (ESC003)
On January 17 2025, Suzuki Motorcycle India unveiled three new models at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo in New Delhi, India. At the event, Suzuki unveiled the e-Access battery electric vehicle, the fully redesigned Access (with a combustion engine), and the bio-ethanol fuel-compatible Gixxer SF250, a model with enhanced environmental performance. All three models are manufactured at Suzuki Motorcycle India, Suzuki's motorcycle production and sales subsidiary in India, and the e-Access will be marketed worldwide as the e-Address.
From now on, on this page, I will use the electric scooter's domestic model name 'e-Access' instead of the International model name, 'e-Address'.
e-Access is Suzuki's first global strategic battery electric vehicle (BEV) motorcycle. The battery is a compact 3.07 kWh iron phosphate lithium-ion battery, the fixed battery provides a 17L of storage space under the seat. Accordning to Suzuki, the battery can be charged from 0 to 100% in 6 hours 42 minutes using a portable charger, or in 2 hours 12 minutes using a quick charger. The power unit has a maximum output of 4.1 kW and a maximum torque of 15 Nm, with a top speed of 71 km/h and a range of 95 km on a single charge. It has three driving modes: Eco, Drive A, and Drive B, as well as a reverse mode for added convenience and regenerative braking to recover energy during deceleration.
Features such as a side stand interlock system and rollover detection improve practicality and safety, and the keyless system allows the vehicle to be remotely locked/unlocked using a key fob. It also features a multi-function starter switch that can control the seat opener, steering lock, and charging inlet lid lock functions from one location. The meter uses a color TFT LCD screen, and smartphone connection is possible via the "Suzuki Ride Connect-E" app, which provides navigation and real-time traffic information in addition to normal driving information. The design didn't go wild when drawing the lines f the Suzuki e-Addres. The design is fresh and sophisticated, but aims to be a timeless styling design that will be loved for many years. The LED position lights that extend vertically in the center of the front and stylish machined luminous wheels give it a unique appearance. Apart from that: it looks like any other good looking scooter, not more or less.
The Suzuki e-Address and Suzuki e-Access are essentially the same underlying electric scooter platform tailored for different geographic markets, corresponding to Suzuki's regional naming traditions for the Address 125 and Access 125 gasoline models. The Suzuki e-Access is marketed primarily in India, carrying forward the immensely popular ”Access” scooter moniker used in that region. The Suzuki e-Address is designated for Europe and international markets, adopting the ”Address” nameplate traditionally used for that body style overseas. Both variants share the core electric architecture: 3.07 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) fixed battery, 4.1 kW (5.4 hp) electric motor with regenerative braking, color TFT screen, smartphone connectivity via Suzuki Ride Connect, and keyless entry.
There's onedifference between the e-Address and the
e-Access you can spot immedatly: the export model, the e-Address has a luggage rack at the rear, wher the domestic e-Access has a grab rail.
