Suzuki model year code: N

Suzuki Goose 350 (SG350N) was introduced
in December 1991 for the Japanese home market.
After a boom of racer replicas, the the four-cylinder naked Suzuki Bandit became a huge success in its home market. Suzuki decided to launch another naked lightweight road bike like Bandit, but with a single cylinder engine.
First out, in December 1991, was the
Goose 350 (SG350N/NK42A), equipped with a 350cc oil-cooled 4-stroke single cylinder SOHC 4-valve engine with a red zone set to 10,000 rpm. The same K406 engine was also
mounted in the DR350. A month later, in Januari 1992, was the Goose 250 (SG250N/NJ46A) launched with a 250cc (J422) engine, based on the DR250S powerplant. It was almost identical
its big brother, Goose 350, but it had conventional front fork
instead of the inverted tube front fork of its sibling. The Goose 350 had an oil-cooler, whick the air-cooled Goose 250 didn't have.
The chassis was made of a rigid steel-piped diamond frame, giving it a slim, single-like styling that is reminiscent of the single racers of yesteryear. Both version of the Goose had a single 300 mm disc brake at the front and a 210 mm disc brake at the rear, new link-type rear suspension.
